Construction:
The luminarie consists of a polycarbonate tube manufactured to Smith & Prince specification with cemented aluminium bushes at either end. These bushes form with thier mating parts the flamepaths and the whole is connected together by an internal back spine and tie bar.
The compact flurescent tube is connected directly to an invertor on the 'C' and 'F' variations. The free end in secured in place by a low profile lampholder.
External shrouds provide means of support for the moulded suspension hooks secured to the shrouds by nylon screws and nuts.
Electrical connection is via a 20mm threaded entry where a 3 core flexible cable is fitted through a suitable BASEEFA approved EExd flameproof cable gland.
The 300 series are not factory sealed and can be maintained by the user.

Type 300 Festoonable Flameproof Lighting System
The type 300F can be festooned by interconnecting suitable cables between light fittings using the 20mm threaded entries. Alternatively each light fitting can be fitted with a suitable cable and flameproof inline plug and coupler to ease deployment.
