Handlite Type 260/9, 260/12
The Smith & Prince Handlite is a hermetically sealed and fully certified explosion-proof light BASEEFA Ex70052
Suitable for use in all hazardous areas, the construction consists of a fluorescent tube encapsulated in a tough polycarbonate sleeve with moulded PVC fittings and cable joint. The cable is mounted into the assembly and the Choke Control Unit is positioned remote to the hazardous area, or in a separate explosion-proof control box.
Each light is subject to rigid tests prior to despatch which ensure that it is both fully serviceable and hermetically sealed.
Dumpylite 260 HD
The Dumpylite consists of a standard type 260/9 or 260/12 encased in a further 2" diameter polycarbonate sleeve of foam rubber buffers, providing additional protection for arduous conditions, i.e., vehicle repair centres.

With the exception of our Batterylite, all safetylites require choke control units of either standard or flameproof construction.
The standard control unit is of aluminium, sheet steel or plastic construction, and must be located outside any hazardous area.
The flameproof control unit is designed and manufactured in accordance with BS 4638 Part 2 1971 and is so constructed to contain any internal explosion without igniting the external atmosphere, and is therefore suitable for use in hazardous environments.
N.B. Additional 4 core cable is available in multiples of 5 metre according to your requirements.
